Finnish cable operator DNA is updating its fixed broadband network in southern Finland with DOCSIS 3.1 technology from Teleste. The upgrade will include Teleste's DOCSIS 3.1-compatible 1.2 GHz network products as well as its network services.

DNA serves more than 3.7 million mobile communications and fixed network customers. The upgrade comprises nearly 1500 network sites.

Teleste's network services will look after the network design and documentation for the upgrade, and Teleste will also take part in field installations. Teleste products being used in the project, include AC3010 and AC3210 amplifiers, as well as the company's ACE and HDO product families and passive devices.

Teleste will be presenting its network services as well as its DOCSIS 3.1-compatible network equipment range at the ANGA COM 2016 exhibition in Cologne, Germany.
