NAGRA Has a Busy IBC

NAGRA has made a number of announcements at the IBC show in Amsterdam, including deployments of multiscreen video and Web TV apps.Spain's PRISA TV will launch on-demand and linear service on iOS devices using NAGRA's MediaLive Multiscreen solution. The service will extend to Android, a new generation of the current Samsung Smart TV app and current Microsoft Xbox 360.NAGRA and Accedo have partnered on an application store for media convergence. The joint effort includes NAGRA's OpenTV 5 media convergence platform and Accedo's Application Sphere.And Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) has teamed up with NAGRA to power a cloud-based OTT video service offered jointly by Spanish infrastructure telecom operator Abertis Telecom and NAGRA. The multiscreen hosting service, already in use by Spanish broadcasters, is expected to be upgraded to support MPEG-DASH.
