Moto Highlights Multiscreen, Connected Home

At the Cable Show, Motorola Mobility (NYSE:MMI) is showing a mix of software, network and in-home technologies.Motorola is showcasing its latest advancements in its the Medios Multi-Screen Software Suite, including DreamGallery HTML5 and home cloud technology, Merchandiser, Video Flow, and SecureMedia.The company is also running an HEVC demonstration. HEVC video compression technology is designed to reduce bandwidth by 50% in comparison to MPEG4 AVC/H.264. The compression technology was jointly developed by ISO/IEC MPEG groups and ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group.Motorola is also highlighting network DVR (nDVR) for TV Everywhere and its DCX3600 Video Gateway, which is feeding content from a variety of sources to a variety of devices, including a connected TV and tablet.Motorola network solutions on display at the show include the VSN200 Optical Node, 10Gig Cherrypicker Application Platform (CAP), SRM10 Supervisory Routing Module 10G card for the BSR 64000 DOCSIS platform, TXPlus CMTS software upgrade, APEX3000 CCAP compatible universal edge QAM, and ST-6000 Series Transcoder.
