At IBC2017 in Amsterdam in September, VITEC will showcase its new generation of the HEVC Gen2 codec for its MGW Ace 4:2:2 10-bit HEVC encoder and MGW Ace decoder solution; the 4K HEVC MGW Vision encoder; and the PX Media Library media management solution.

The MGW Ace Encoder and Decoder is a portable, hardware-based 4:2:2 10-bit HEVC encode/decode streaming solution using the company's proprietary second-generation HEVC codec (Gen2). It also provides H.264 encoding/decoding capabilities. It's intended for streaming video, audio, and KLV metadata while in the field or on the move. For point-to-point applications, when paired with MGW Ace decoder, the solution is designed for video streaming over any network, including the Internet, with embedded Pro-MPEG FEC or Zixi stream protection.

In addition, VITEC will demonstrate its MGW Vision 4K HEVC encoding/decoding solution, designed as an UltraHD IPTV contribution solution for broadcast, in-house IPTV and enterprise markets. The IPTV encoder is designed to support 4:2:2 10-bits.

VITEC's PX Media Library is designed to enable media professionals to tag, edit, manage, organize, and share media files for sports, content distribution, broadcast, film festival, scientific institute, and government applications. The system includes a user interface with customizable workflows.
