In the Phoenix metro area, Cox Communications opened up thousands of its WiFi hotspots across the Valley to the public for free through Jan. 11 for college football's national championship between the Clemson Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide at University of Phoenix Stadium on Jan. 11.

Cox WiFi hotspots can also be found by entering a user's location at www.cox.com/hotspots. Users can also click on a WiFi icon on the map or download the Cox Connect app for iPhone and Android devices to immediately access directions to or from the specific WiFi hotspot address.

Cox has more than 7,000 Arizona hotspots, plus access to 400,000 Cox WiFi and cable WiFi hot spots across the country.
