By the end of May, more than 50% of TWC's Kansas City-area customers are expected to have access to the faster speeds, with the rest of TWC customers in the area having access to the faster speeds by this fall. The TWC Maxx program also includes video and network reliability upgrades and will encompass TWC's entire Kansas City service area. The MSO is also deploying 2,500 WiFi hotspots in Kansas City.
TWC started the Maxx upgrades in Kansas City in January and completed its digital video migration there earlier this month. The overall project was announced in January 2014, and the first TWC markets to get the upgrades were Los Angeles and New York City. The project has been expanded to several other markets since, and more are planned.
