The addition of Raleigh and Charlotte brings the total of TWC Maxx upgrades to six TWC markets. Austin is expected to complete the all-digital video switch next month. Dallas and Kansas City are currently upgrading video and are expected to begin Internet speed upgrades within months. San Antonio will also start Internet speed upgrades this month.
Hawaii and San Diego are scheduled for Maxx upgrades later this year.
TWC Maxx will be available to all customers in the Triangle area of North Carolina, including Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. TWC Maxx is also scheduled to come to areas outside of the Triangle, including Apex, Benson, Bunn, Cary, Chatham County, Creedmoor, Dunn, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Goldsboro, Henderson, Hillsborough, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Leesville, Louisburg, Middlesex, Morrisville, Oxford, Pittsboro, Raeford, Selma, Smithfield, Wake Forest, Warrenton, Wendell, Wilson and Zebulon.
The company also plans to roll out TWC WiFi Hotspots in the Triangle area this year. The WiFi hotspots have already started deploying in small business locations. Outdoor locations are expected to begin deployment toward the end of the first quarter.
