NAGRA, a Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S) company, will showcase video anti-piracy services and multiscreen user experience (UX) solutions at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

The company's anti-piracy services are intended to trace illegal content distribution and take decisive action to stop it. NexGuard watermarking technology is designed to stop content leaks at their source, whether the content is live or on-demand. The NAGRA Security Services Platform also includes NAGRA's CAS, DRM and multi-DRM technologies.

"Piracy takes many forms, from key sharing for broadcast services to content sharing of live events and premium VOD titles over the Internet," said Christopher Schouten, senior director of product marketing for NAGRA's content protection solutions. "To help content owners and pay TV providers understand and fight these constantly evolving threats, NAGRA provides the industry's most complete content value protection solution portfolio, allowing them to secure and mark their content, monitor for illegal distribution, and act quickly against pirates to defend the legitimate value chain against revenue loss."

NAGRA's OpenTV Suite is intended to enable pay TV service providers to deliver unified, all-screen viewing experiences on a variety of devices, including operator set-top boxes by SmarDTV as well as consumer streaming devices like Roku and Amazon's FireTV. It's designed to provide a cloud-ready backend platform for the delivery of multiscreen TV services with a personalized, operator-branded and consistent user experience across all major open device platforms.

"With the OpenTV Suite, service providers can deliver both operator STB-based or retail device-based OTT TV with the scalability, flexibility and fast time-to-market they require," said Anthony Smith-Chaigneau, senior director of product marketing for NAGRA's User Experience solutions. "NAGRA's OTT TV solution provides the added benefit of leveraging cloud DVR to enable cost-effective skinny packages with time-shifting features that increase viewer engagement while delivering the convenience and services subscribers have been asking for."
