At TV Connect 2017 in London, Viaccess-Orca will demonstrate delivery and monetization solutions for traditional pay TV and OTT multiscreen utilizing the cloud, virtual reality (VR) and big data. Technology demonstrations will include dynamic ad insertion, analytics, streaming video, UltraHD and content security.
Viaccess-Orca will demonstrate analytics and monetization capabilities for its cloud-based TV Everywhere as a Service (TVaaS). The demo will highlight the integration of a new HTML5 web player into the solution, enabling pre-roll and mid-roll dynamic ad insertion (DAI). The company will also showcase strategies for exploiting TV data, including predictive analytics.
A solution for 360-degree video streaming (live and on-demand), Viaccess-Orca's Virtual Arena is intended for delivering and monetizing content on multiple devices, including flatscreens and head-mounted displays. VR demos will include 360-degree content in 4K and 8K. Featuring data collection, extraction of insights, and targeted advertising through multiple sensors, the platform is intended to enable service providers to create data-driven monetization opportunities while preserving privacy.
The company will showcase an end-to-end content security solution for multiscreen TV services. Its modular architecture is designed for easy upgrades and the capability to switch from one DRM to another, while also ensuring security for HD and 4K-related content.
At the heart of the content security solution is Viaccess-Orca's Connected Sentinel multi-DRM back-end platform. The solution also includes the company's Connected Sentinel Player for mobile devices, an HTML5-based web player compatible with PC and Mac and forensic watermarking technology for tablets and smartphones.
