MediaKind has inked deployment deals with two South American video providers, CCNP (Consorcio Canales Nacionales Privados) in Colombia and Oi in Brazil.
CCNP has chosen MediaKind's Aquila direct to consumer solution to provide live encoding on CCNP's national feed for digital distribution services to consumers across Colombia. The deployment is intended to enable the distribution of high quality video content across multiple cities to more than 7.5 million households. The implementation of Aquila combines MediaKind's video processing system, AVP4000, and video decoders, RX8200 and RX8330, as well as associated professional services and local support led by Balum.
Clayton Cruz, MediaKind's senior vice president, Latin America, said: "We are excited about the opportunity to bring our Aquila direct to consumer experience solution to CCNP's consumers across Colombia. Our partnership with CCNP will enable these consumers to obtain better HD resolution experience across multiple cities, to over 30 million viewers nationally, fortifying our marketshare in DTT segment."
Oi Brazil has chosen MediaKind's end-to-end consumer experience solution for providing contemporary multiscreen entertainment services to consumers across the country. The four-phase, 15-month project is intended to improve services for more than 500,000 consumers. The implementation combines MediaKind's Mediaroom TV Platform, Video Storage and Processing Platform, Live Encoding to Oi Play (OTT) and associated professional services.
Cruz said: "We are excited about the opportunity to bring our consumer experience solution to Oi's consumers across Brazil. Our partnership with Oi will enable these consumers to experience contemporary entertainment across multiple screens beginning soon in 2019."
