UXP Systems has implemented its Multiscreen Interaction (MINT) Platform in support of the upcoming launch of a "Home-Phone-To-Go" service for Barbados-based Columbus Communications' cable system in Trinidad. Columbus's retail asset in Trinidad, Flow, has a customer base of more than 200,000 households offering video, internet and voice services.Using the MINT Platform, which resides between the billing system and the voice services, Columbus is able to unify various existing phone systems to deliver calling, voicemail, address book and calling history across tablets, smartphones and personal computers. The implementation was completed in January and has since been in market trial with customers of Columbus' retail operator, Flow Trinidad. The Flow multiscreen service is slated for full market launch in May and will feature multiscreen calling, messaging and cable TV listings. A forthcoming release will also include live TV.
