Sling, Broadcom Team on Multiscreen

Sling Media and Broadcom announced the integration of the Sling Media SDK into Broadcom's latest set-top box system-on-a-chip (SoC) platforms. The collaboration is intended to let manufacturers of STBs and CE devices offer an Internet-based solution for consumers to watch television wherever they want on whatever device they want.It incorporates Sling Media's licensed software ecosystem on the Broadcom BCM7425 Dual HD Transcoding MoCA Gateway SoC. Broadcom-powered boxes with Sling Media software are expected to be available by the third quarter of 2012.
