J:COM Picks Concurrent for TV Everywhere

Japanese cable MSO Jupiter Telecommunications (J:COM, JASDAQ:4817) has deployed Concurrent's (NASDAQ:CCUR) MediaHawk VX unified content delivery solution to deliver multiscreen VOD services. The new TV Everywhere service, branded "Xvie," allows J:COM subscribers to view "J:COM On Demand" video programming anywhere, anytime, on a range of IP connected consumer electronics devices, including iPads, iPhones, and Android devices. The service allows programs to be started on one screen, paused, and continued on any other screen.
