Harmonic Encodes the Olympics in MPEG-DASH

Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) is providing encoding for a live public trial of MPEG-DASH streaming during the London Olympics. Belgian public broadcaster VRT is using Harmonic's ProMedia Live transcoder and equipment provided by other DASH Promoters Group members to reach laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Harmonic equipment is also being used for Olympic coverage at the BBC, Virgin Media, and NBC.
