Free Mobile Broadband Planned

Wireless broadband company FreedomPop and Sprint (NYSE:S) announced the formation of a strategic wholesale relationship intended to expand FreedomPop's free mobile broadband Internet service in the United States. The service is expected to launch later this year.

FreedomPop will now have access to Sprint's 4G LTE and WiMAX networks as well as its 3G network. The partnership with Sprint gives FreedomPop a national footprint to offer free broadband to more than 250 million Americans on the Sprint 3G, WiMAX and LTE networks.
