Verizon (NSYE:VZ) has launched a new mobile OTT video service, go90. The free multiscreen app, for both iOS and Android, features some 8,000 titles in such categories as live sports and music events, original programming from emerging networks and their creators, as well as prime-time TV. Verizon plans to double the available content by the end of the year. The service also has a social focus, being designed to let users share and comment on content via text, e-mail, Facebook and Twitter.

"Brilliant coders and engineers and awesome content partners have invested an incredible amount of work and have taken care to create a video experience that until now has been missing for millennial and Gen Z viewers," said Brian Angiolet, go90's architect. "go90 bridges the content divide between traditional and digital distributors, along with established and emerging creators."
