Euskaltel, a cable operator in northern Spain, has selected Edgeware's Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) to deliver live streaming and on-demand services to QAM-connected set-top boxes and IP multiscreen devices from a single delivery platform.
To meet Euskaltel's requirements, the Edgeware VCP was integrated with NAGRA's multiscreen system, MediaLive, to provide the end-to-end solution comprising the Service Platform, Secure Player and White-Label Applications to deliver live and on-demand features.
Euskaltel provides broadband services, fixed telephony, digital pay TV and mobile telephony to 400,000 residential and business customers in Spain's Basque country.
