Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) is transitioning its video service in parts of Wisconsin to an all-digital lineup. Areas being upgraded include Milwaukee, Kenosha, Waukesha, Racine, Green Bay, Appleton and Oshkosh. The transition, which starts today, is intended to improve video picture and sound, and also to free up network capacity for faster Internet speeds and additional on-demand content.
The video upgrade includes an expanded On Demand library of more than 30,000 titles. TWC launched its six-tuner Enhanced DVR service in the area last year.
The transition to an all-digital network will require video customers without TWC digital CPE to order TWC digital adapters, which are free through Jan. 29, 2017.
