Microsoft announced plans to roll out TV entertainment on its Xbox LIVE online entertainment service for the company's Xbox 360 game console. Nearly 40 worldwide TV and entertainment providers -- including Bravo, Comcast, HBO GO, Verizon FiOS and Syfy in the United States; BBC in the UK, Telefónica in Spain; Rogers On Demand in Canada; Televisa in Mexico; ZDF in Germany; and MediaSet in Italy -- will begin rolling out entertainment services to the console this holiday season in more than 20 countries.

The new TV and video providers join Microsoft's existing video partners already on Xbox 360: AT&T, Netflix and Hulu Plus in the United States; TELUS in Canada; BSkyB in the UK; Canal+ in France; Vodafone Portugal; VimpelCom in Russia; and FOXTEL in Australia.
