Mediacom Communications and Midcontinent Communications have both inked carriage deals with OTT video providers. Hulu's subscription streaming service will be carried by both cable operators, and Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) will be carried by Mediacom via an app on its TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) set-top boxes.

Mediacom's TiVo customers will need to have an existing Netflix subscription or subscribe to Netflix in order to utilize the Netflix app. Mediacom plans to provide pricing and other particulars for Hulu, including its availability date, in the near future.

Hulu's Midcontinent deployment is also based on TiVo. Hulu will become accessible to Midcontinent customers who use TiVo devices when TiVo integration is complete, which is tentatively planned for later this year. Customers who subscribe to Hulu will be able to use their existing set-top boxes to view Hulu's full library of content.
