Alticast is a supplier of middleware, interactive program guide (IPG), content protection, service delivery platform (SDP), UX virtualization and OTT products for the Korean pay TV market.
"With access to a TiVo patent portfolio, we can further deliver advanced, future-ready solutions for our customers to stay relevant amidst a fragmented market, while providing high-performance entertainment experiences to consumers," said Dosa Park, head of Platform Business Division, Alticast.
"This license agreement emphasizes the value TiVo's innovations bring to the competitive, rapidly expanding entertainment industry," said Arvin Patel, executive vice president and chief intellectual property officer, Rovi, a TiVo company. "We are excited to further collaborate with Alticast in helping to enable pay TV platform providers in Korea to offer unique, innovative and personalized entertainment experiences."
