hypeSCREEN has launched an online TV discovery service intended to give users an easy way to cut through the clutter of free video online and find content worth watching.

The company says there's already a great deal of high-quality video content on free platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Go90 and Snapchat today. As cable and satellite TV diminish, these platforms are spending billions to create more premium content to attract the ad dollars moving online. hypeSCREEN is intended as a one-stop destination for finding the best of what's out there, across all platforms.

The company focuses on curated recommendations while offering related services intended to enhance the experience on its site. Plans are underway to provide users with a discovery engine to help find shows that fit individual preferences as well as more editorial content like articles and reviews.

"Some of the most exciting TV today is happening on openly accessible platforms," said Sergio Santos, co-founder of hypeSCREEN. "For example, 'The Comeback Kids' on Facebook Watch averages around 20M views per episode with one episode getting over 83M. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. As this new era of TV emerges, we'll soon hear things like, 'Catch that new show on Facebook?' or 'Watched the latest episode on Snapchat?' hypeSCREEN wants to be part of those conversations. We want to be the go-to destination for discovering and engaging with this exciting new version of TV online."
