At the NCTC Winter Educational Conference (WEC) in New Orleans, Momentum Telecom will be demonstrating three expansions to its BBX platform, as well as its hosted voice product.

Momentum BBX is intended to provide cable operators and municipalities with network management and monitoring, provisioning and managed support for broadband and voice services. Momentum now offers three different expansion options for BBX: cable diagnostics, WiFi and fiber.

"We're very excited about the BBX expansions and their ability to further improve every operator's BBX experience," said Tara Kelley, vice president of customer experience at Momentum. "The most important part of these expansions is that they enable users to access all system, customer, plant and reporting data in single place. So we have essentially created a way to eliminate days of sorting through third-party management systems and swivel-chair operations."

Momentum will also be demonstrating its proactive network maintenance (PNM) tool, which uses DOCSIS pre-equalization technology to help cable operators proactively identify service impairments.
