AFL’s Port Saver is a field-replaceable connector that protects FlexScan OTDR and Troubleshooter connector ferrules from damage due to repeated mating. The Port Saver enables test instruments to avoid costly repairs due to damaged connectors and avoids downtime to return devices for connector replacement. Installed in seconds, inexpensive Port Savers accept tool-free, interchangeable SC, LC, FC, and ST connector adapters. Additionally, Port Savers can be used to convert an ultra-polished connector (UPC) to an angle-polished connector (APC) or vice versa.
