Universal Electronics' portfolio of wireless security and home automation sensors include flood and freeze sensors, adjustable window and door sensors, automated light switches, keypads, PIR motion sensors, and FireFighter.

FireFighter alerts homeowners to smoke and fire when no one is home to hear the alarm. It is a wireless sensor that monitors existing smoke detectors in the home and associates them to an iControl-certified system. A patented listening technology can tell when an alarm is sounded and distinguish between real and false alarms. This was a feature called out by judges who liked that the product listens to the tone of fire alarms without requiring new wireless capable units.

Additionally, Flood Sensor alerts homeowners to and can prevent water damage. The sensor uses multi-point detection to detect as little as 1/64th of an inch of water, and the device notifies the homeowner within 2 seconds of detection. The company says the wireless, small design and long battery life makes placement under sinks or next to the toilet, water heaters or other piping easy.
