AOL Updates TV App, Adds TiVo

The AOL (NYSE:AOL) On Network announced the launch of version 2.0 of its connected TV app. Formerly known as AOL HD, the updated app will feature a redesigned user interface, ad-serving capabilities at launch, as well as HD video content from a library of more than 380,000 short-form videos. The update will be made available to Samsung smart TVs, Roku and Sony. Currently in beta, TiVo is also expected to soon join the lineup of supported platforms. Subscribers are expected to receive access to the AOL On app in the coming weeks on TiVo Premiere DVRs.
