Beginning May 16, Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) will begin rolling out a managed dual-band concurrent 802.11ac wireless WiFi router.

802.11ac, ratified by the IEEE in January, provides much higher throughput than the previous specification (802.11n). Charter's new router, supplied by NETGEAR (NASDAQGM:NTGR), is designed to deliver throughput in excess of the 100 Mbps offered by Charter Internet Ultra, throughout the entire home.
