Alpha Technologies AlphaGateway IoT

Sept. 26, 2017

The AlphaGateway IoT is the bridge between the HFC power/backhaul infrastructure and the fertile field of Internet of Things (IoT) business opportunities, the company says.

The system combines Alpha's expertise in power and backhaul with one of the fastest emerging technologies in IoT, Low Power Wide Area Networks (LoRaWANs). The single-box solution simplifies installation and setup to speed the deployment of this new business-to-business network, providing an operator with a quicker access to new revenue streams, according to the company. The AlphaGateway IoT powers directly from the HFC coax plant and then transforms and "cleans" the power to provide the power & back-haul consumed by the multi-channel, duplex transmissions of IoT data communications.
