Comcast Cable has hired Chris Satchell, most recently consumer technology officer at Nike, as executive vice president and chief product officer. Satchell succeeds Charlie Herrin, who is now executive vice president of customer experience.
As his new title implies, Satchell will be asked to lead development and design of consumer products.
"Chris is a world-class technologist with a track record of creating products that consumers love," said Neil Smit, Comcast Cable's president and CEO. "Chris and his team will work across the company to create, design and build exceptional product experiences for customers, and I am thrilled to have him on board."
At Nike, Satchell's Consumer Digital Technology division was in charge of the design, building and operation of applications and services. Satchell has also held positions at IGT (Internal Game Technology) and Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business.
