ARRIS (www.arrisi.com) named Ming Wu vice president, business development, for the Chinese marketplace.

Wu brings more than 15 years of senior leadership experience to his new role. He joins ARRIS from China Cable Networks, the only state-owned cross-region cable TV operator in China, where he served as COO and VP, research and development. Previously, he spent several years at Dell Computers and at Nortel Networks. He started his career in telecommunications at MCI.

In his new role, Wu will represent the company as it identifies new business opportunities and works with Chinese government ministries and cable operators to help them deploy triple play services for the country’s cable customers. He reports to Stan Brovont, ARRIS SVP of business development and marketing, and will work out of the ARRIS offices in Beijing and Shenzhen.
