InnoTrans Communications' (www.inno-trans.com) Chromadigm 1,550 DWDM solutions can be initially deployed for node splitting and fiber reclamation, and then seamlessly convert to a fiber deep or RFoG solution without taking down the existing network even momentarily. The Chromadigm is designed to provide distance-independent performance and operates in the C-Band on ITU wavelengths, which can be amplified in the field or in the hub to overcome network losses. It has SBS suppression built in, high OMI, the ability to scale to 16 wavelengths, and integrated optical muxes and EDFAs.
Also being demonstrated is the company's new Transcend Platform, a single rack unit (RU) modular chassis designed to support up to four rear-facing modules with the RF and optical interfaces contained within each module, designed to eliminate optical bottlenecks. The Transcend Platform includes the InfiniQAM Transmitter, an EDFA Module, Return Receiver Module, REM Transmitter Module, REM Receiver Module, Optical Switch Module, and RF Switch Module.
