Infonetics Research's (www.infonetics.com) report "Residential Voice, Data, and Video Services in North America" indicates that such services brought in nearly $246 billion in 2010, a 2.1% increase from 2009. Video was a battleground, with cable's numbers flat, DBS showing slow growth, and telcos growing their video business 40% from 2009.

Infonetics expects the residential services market to grow to $270 billion in 2014, as revenue from voice services declines while broadband access and video service revenue increases. The research house also expects revenue from video to rival that of voice by 2014 and residential mobile broadband to jump to 70 million subs by 2014.
