According to "U.S. Communications Industry Leaders Competitive Scorecard," a report issued by Fitch Ratings (www.fitchratings.com), large cable operators collectively accounted for all of the positive high-speed data net additions during the second quarter of 2010 as the large telcos lost high-speed data subscribers.

Approximately 1.2 million revenue generating units (RGUs) were added by the largest telecommunication service providers in 2Q'10, reflecting a 35 percent increase relative to the 0.9 million RGUs added during 2Q'09. Highlighting the second quarter results, the largest cable ops sustained the ongoing shift in high-speed data subscriber market share relative to the telcos during the quarter.
