Comcast (www.comcast.com) is trialing a new calling plan designed to help local consumers save money on their phone bill. The new StateWise Illinois calling plan enables Comcast XFINITY Voice customers to place unlimited calls anywhere in Illinois for $29.95 a month.

The MSO is also launching wireless data service in Vermont and Connecticut, as the company continues its nationwide rollout of XFINITY Internet 2go. Initially, XFINITY Internet 2go is a 3G wireless data service that provides nationwide wireless Internet service via a wireless data card. Comcast is now offering the service bundled with one or more of its high-speed Internet, digital cable or voice products. By the end of the year, Comcast will also offer XFINITY Internet 2go as a 4G service via Clearwire (www.clearwire.com) networks in Vermont and Connecticut.
