The recent media frenzy around 3DTV has spurred consumers to ask the following questions: “When can I get it? What kind of 3D programs will be available? Which service providers will deliver it to my living room?”
Popular programmers including ESPN and Discovery have already announced big 3D content plans. DirecTV says that millions of its subs will have 3DTV by this summer. As for cable operators, experts say that the infrastructure is ready for the delivery challenge and industry leaders are loudly banging the 3DTV drum.
