Suddenlink Completes AR Fiber Build

Suddenlink Communications has completed a nearly $4-million dollar project to install a new 162-mile fiber-optic network serving its Arkansas customers. Construction began in March 2010, and the network is now in service.

The new Suddenlink-operated network connects with the company's national network and is intended to make its services in Arkansas more reliable and less dependent on other carriers. The new network is also intended to let Suddenlink offer improved video and high-speed Internet services, and also re-route services where lines are damaged or other carriers experience equipment failures.
