Jdsu Otdr Module Copy 300x172JDSU's Metro-PON OTDR for the T-BERD/MTS-4000 platform is designed to speed installing and troubleshooting metro and passive optical networks (PON) and reduce costs. It features 40 dB dynamic range sensitivity, reduces the dead zone around high-loss 1 x 128 splitters by up to 50%, lets customers choose only the wavelength combinations they need (any one or more of 1,310, 1,490, 1,550, 1,625, and 1,650 nm), and automatically identifies splitters and immediately detects live traffic.

To enable certification for the new IEC standard, it includes automatic fiber connector inspection and Pass/Fail analysis. The platform also features a large, trans-reflective touch display.
