Innotrans Transsend E1304390850162 300x45InnoTrans Communications is demonstrating its Flexible Optical Network offerings as well as its new Transcend Platform at the ANGA Cable Show in Cologne, Germany this week. Company demos focus on how Chromadigm 1,550 DWDM solutions can be initially deployed for node splitting and fiber reclamation, and then support a fiber deep or RFoG solution without taking down the existing network. Also to be demonstrated will be the company's new Transcend Platform, a single rack unit (RU) modular chassis designed to support up to four rear-facing modules with the RF and optical interfaces contained within each module, designed to eliminate optical "bottlenecks."

The Chromadigm is designed to provide distance independent performance; operate in the C-Band on ITU wavelengths, which can be amplified in the field or in the hub to overcome network losses; and occupy adjacent channels on the ITU grid at 200 GHz spacing without the need for gaps in the optical spectrum. It has SBS suppression built in and patented clipping mitigation circuitry on each transmitter. It's designed to 16 wavelengths and includes integrated optical muxes and EDFAs.

The Transcend Platform includes the InfiniQAM Transmitter, EDFA Module, Return Receiver Module, REM Transmitter Module, REM Receiver Module, Optical Switch Module and RF Switch Module.
