Cablemás, the second largest cable operator in Mexico with more than 1 million subscribers, is undertaking a digital simulcast upgrade of its networks using products from RGB Networks.The upgrade has already been completed in several of the more than 40 cities Cablemás serves throughout Mexico, including Cuernavaca, Tijuana, Juarez, Merida, Cancun and Acapulco. The upgrade is intended to enable Cablemás to reclaim analog bandwidth and to offer its subscribers advanced digital cable services, including HDTV.RGB products used in the upgrade include the Broadcast Network Processor (BNP), Simulcast Edge Processor (SEP) and Modular Media Converter (MMC).
