The NCTA announced its lineup for the opening session of the Cable Show 2011 in Chicago. Convention co-chairs David Zaslav, president and CEO of Discovery Communications, and Jerry Kent, chairman and CEO of Suddenlink, will welcome delegates, and former FCC Chairman Michael Powell will make his Cable Show debut as president and CEO of the NCTA, delivering a "State of the Industry" keynote.

A panel discussion exploring new business opportunities in media and telecommunications will follow, featuring:
