Volicon Observerscreenshot 300x154Volicon's Observer TS (transport stream) is a new MPEG (ASI/IP) transport stream logging system. It's designed to give broadcasters, networks, and cable operators the ability to capture full-resolution MPEG transport streams and generate low-resolution proxy content and accompanying metadata. The solution also incorporates stream, search, analyze, clip, and publish functionality, all from within the Web-based Observer user interface.

It's designed to increase logging density, accommodate high-resolution content repurposing, directly monitor native MPEG ASI/IP handoffs, and inspect and export transport streams while operating over a LAN and WAN. Content logging is intended to allow new use cases for logged content, such as repurposing high-resolution data, managing interactive content, and dialnorm reporting. Operators can extract MPEG metadata and troubleshoot the MPEG transport stream live or from the Observer log.
