Rob Stuehrk has been named president and publisher of the entire BTR portfolio. The announcement was made by Hermes Media CEO Tim Hermes.
Stuehrk, who was BTR's vice president/group publisher, will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day BTR site and newsletter editorial content, video initiatives, ad and sponsorship sales, circulation, marketing, and the overall strategic direction of the BTR brand.
Said Hermes: "Rob is a natural to carry out these tasks -- many of which he had been doing for some time -- as BTR expands. Rob is adept at managing a geographically dispersed workforce comprised of full-timers and freelancers. He has excellent attention to detail, great strategic and tactical vision, and a knack for creating an atmosphere conducive to collaboration and cooperation."
Stuehrk has 25 years in the telecommunications publishing industry. He was publisher of CED before coming to BTR -- then Broadband Gear Report -- in 2008. He was instrumental in BTR's entry into the video market, the transition from BGR to BTR and the accompanying site redesign. He also is responsible for BTR's huge growth in video special projects and initiatives since he joined the company.
