Canadian operator Cogeco Cable announced the evolution of its portfolio of High Speed Internet (HSI) packages in Québec and Ontario. Since Oct. 1, the op has increased its web speeds for the majority of its subscribers, and several packages have also been upgraded to higher monthly data transfer capacity.

Cogeco is also launching a new package -- Turbo 20 -- in territories where DOCSIS 3.0 technology has been rolled out. The package offers download speeds of up to 20 Mpbs, upload speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps, a monthly bit capacity of 100 GB and a cost of $1.50 per additional GB, up to a $50 maximum per month. Cogeco will continue to deploy DOCSIS 3.0 technology gradually in new areas.
