RGB’s TransAct Packager segments streams using adaptive streaming technology to deliver video and audio to PCs, mobile devices and set-top boxes. The system ingests H.264 encoded video streams carried in an MPEG-2 transport stream and produces segment output in Apple HTTP live streaming, Microsoft smooth streaming, Adobe HTTP dynamic streaming and RTMP formats. It also can encrypt traffic using AES-128 for HLS and PlayReady for smooth streaming, integrating key exchange with DRM servers.
The Diamonds judges came away from this review pleased with TransAct Packager’s capabilities and especially its flexibility. “It works with other content ingestion and format conversion platforms and DRM systems,” said one judge.http://www.rgbnetworks.comSee them at Cable-Tec EXPO, booth 342
