A Plusnet study indicates that despite 59% of UK households having Internet-enabled PCs, 27% of users are not familiar with terms such as bandwidth, WiFi, cursor, router and download. Dispelling the myth that youngsters are most tech savvy, the research found that those over 55 scored well with jargon-busting, with 72% claiming they understand all the terms perfectly. Some 39% of 16- to 24-year-olds did not, which is more than the national statistic of 27%. The survey was conducted by Opinion Matters from Nov. 11-15 and included 1,096 respondents.
