The FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) will commence a 45-day public trial for Telcordia's White Space Database, beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time. The trial can be accessed at https://prism.telcordia.com/tvws/home/trial.

The database is designed to calculate protected contours in accordance with FCC-designated rules and provide a list of available channels that TV Bands White Space devices can use based on their location. It's also designed to register other FCC-protected sites, such as MVPD receive sites, broadcast auxiliary temporary receive sites, or wireless microphones.
