The SCTE announced promotions and new responsibilities for three members of its organizational team, as well as the retention of two subject matter experts as consultants.

Derek DiGiacomo, Steve Harris and Tom Russell all have been promoted to the newly created positions of senior director and will assume additional responsibility for industry outreach and program creation. The promotions include:



  • DiGiacomo to senior director of information systems and energy management programs, with responsibility for the Smart Energy Management Initiative (SEMI)


  • Harris to senior director of advanced network technologies, with increased business development and content creation responsibility with the SCTE Professional Development program


  • Russell to senior director of standards, with an increased role in the creation of new standards activity in the United States and internationally




Industry veterans Steve Hughey and George Wright have been retained as subject matter consultants in the areas of equipment standards, energy management and network operations and engineering, respectively.
