The SCTE has begun development of IPS TP 226, Standardized Loading for Reverse-Path Bit Error Rate Testing. The proposed standard is intended to define the channel plans to be used when testing reverse path upstream BER testing, providing details on channel loading bandwidth, modulation specifics and pre/post BER measurements. It's intended to be used in conjunction with ANSI/SCTE 132 2007, "Test Method for Reverse Path (Upstream) Bit Error Rate."
