ARRIS and Cisco announced an agreement on a wavelength management plan in the C-band (1,550 nm) intended to provide cable operators with an ITU-based full spectrum DWDM multi-wavelength optical solution for increased capacity and expanded services. The interoperability agreement addresses multiple customer demands to ease the architectural complexities in the multi-wavelength landscape.

A joint technical paper authored by ARRIS and Cisco engineers titled "When Wavelengths Collide, Chaos Ensues: Engineering Stable and Robust Full Spectrum Multi-Wavelength HFC Networks" will be presented at Expo on Nov. 17 from 1-2:15 p.m. Both companies said their respective full spectrum multi-wavelength solutions are fully productized.
