The SCTE has approved two new standards, and the American National Standards Institute another.

SCTE 57 2011, System Information for Satellite Distribution of Digital Television for Cable and MMDS, defines a standard for system information (SI) compatible with MPEG-2 compliant digital multiplex bitstreams constructed in accordance with ISO/IEC 13818-1 (MPEG-2) and transmitted over satellite for distribution on cable and MMDS.

SCTE 40 2011, Digital Cable Network Interface Standard, defines the characteristics and normative specifications for the digital network interface between a cable system and commercially available digital cable products that are used to access multi-channel TV programming.

ANSI/SCTE 120 2011, Test Method for Balance Ratio of 75-300 Ohm Matching Transformer, defines a method for measuring the balance ratio of RF devices whose primary purpose is to provide an impedance and connector match between 75 ohm, coaxial, type "F" and 300 ohm twin-lead open screw connectorized devices.
